ETF Shares
As previously stated ETF shares can be traded or shared all day long unlike its similar counter part the Mutual fund. In this regard it will act like any other thing on the Stock exchange. Most investors who want to do this type can buy in market transactions. Only large financial institutions can share in blocks called Creation Units.
The blocks generally range from about 25,000 shares all the way up to 200,000 shares. An investor must choose from share that has been approved for sharing, and trading on the stock exchange.
Another thing that is important about ETF sharing is that the portfolios are transparent. ETFS are also generally structured as open ended and can participate in securities lending. This just means that a person can lend their securities to most any other party. Each party must agree to a fee on the ETF.
